Discrete FOurier Transform

I have a homework problem I'm having a hard time with


Consider the Discrete Formula Transform with n = 4

Use the Euler Formula to find z, z^2, z^3 and the 4x4 matrix

now he never taught this to us, so I'm trying to figure it out on my own

but is the 4x4 matrix:

(1 1 1 1 )
(1 z z^2 z^3)
(1 z^2 1 z^2)
(1 z^3 z^2 1)



I am having a hard time finding the z's, could someone really help me out?
