Dark Energy / Closed universe?

Let's assume that right now all Dark Energy stopped existing. So no more accelerating outward. Is the Universe expanding fast enough that gravity will not collapse it? I've heard yes and no so I decided a discussion about this would be good. How sure are we of the amount of mass in the Universe?

BTW, I'm making a story/script and I hope everyone agrees it would be closed. If it wouldn't be then the story/script is going to be flawed. Thanks
