Energy dissipated by friction
1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
Find the amount of energy E dissipated by friction by the time the block stops. Express your answer in terms of some or all the variables m, v, and h and any appropriate constants. 2. Relevant equations sqrt(v^2 + 2gh) 3. The attempt at a solution I know it involves the equation for the law of conservation of energy, and the above equation, but the other constants I have not figured out. |
