GR and QM conflict

Hi, can someone explain or point me to some reference which explains the exact mathematical nonsense that emerges when QM and GR are put together. I have read and understood at high level that we get infinities of the kind that can't be renormalized. However I would love to have the exact mathematical derivation.
Can some one help?
