Informational Darwinism

Superceding the inheritance of DNA in natural selection through the individual is the monopolization by and generation of physical information about a person. Data - electronic, gravitational, cognitive, quantum - may outlast and outperform the genome as a record of a biological entity's existence. As reproduction diminishes with social security among homo sapiens, and computation approaches the atomic level, our legacy becomes more about bits than genes.

When do you think physical order will (or did) overtake Darwinian evolution, and what will be the eventual consequences? How will evolutionary processes and niches be replaced by those not of DNA?
