Racism in Society

Some people from a different thread have referred to racism.

So if you wish to discuss the pros and cons of racism, the sociological impact of racism or anything even remotely related to racism, discuss it here.

The pros of racism?

- Community spirit
- Pride in culture
- Keeps indigenous people in power in their own country (pro for them)

That is all I can think of off the cuff, although all can be achieved other ways. They are all just pro to the people who are racist and not to the population at large.
There are many many cons which I shall not bother to list.

Oh, and worthless people can feel better about themselves, for having the 'right' ethnicity. Being proud of your 'race'is like being proud of your eye color...both are accidents of birth which you get no credit for.

The pros of racism?
Yes, I obtained that from the following quote made by LogicalAtheist in the other thread I previously mentioned:

The implication that pure racism is purposeless would probably be correct. However actualistic racism is a very positive outlook. It serves purpose on many levels, and is a very succesfull way of viewing a population from the terms of safety issues, which is important in regards to the illegal immigrant problem.

I haven't taken an action so far. Let me try to find it if you haven't gotten to it already.

So racism is a cultural reaction to science, but that's just the justification for it in this age. In reality, it has roots deep in human history, probably as far back as slavery in agriculture, in ancient Egypt, perhaps before. It's simply easy to get rich doing nothing if you have people working for you without pay other than room & board.

All I can say is this :

Those damn niggers, they are so...so black.
The freaking wet backs, they are so..red.
Those damn wasps, they are so...pale.
Those stupid chinks, how...yellow...they are.

If I had my way
We would all be gray.
There would be no such nonsense as culture.
We would all be the same.

We would also have all been eaten by sabertooth tigers, 14 thousand years ago......

I'm not sure how to take this...and we won't discuss it here.
