Question

thermocouple and surface


Can some 1 pls tell me how to measure the surface temperature of the filament bulb with a thermocople, do you put the sensor on the surface or what. As i am new to this can u pls help. Thanks you

You will not be able to get a meaningful temperature of a filament with a contact method. The thermal mass of a filament is very low, contact with any object will cause the filament to equalize in temperature with the probe, thus you will not measure the correct temperature.
