Yep, that's exactly what the whiteboards in the grad student offices look like! I actually love to walk in and read them once in a while, just to see what they are picking on each other about most recently.

The background is too white. Usually, someone has to try some exotic cleaner on the whiteboard that makes it impossible to erase anything completely.

I love it when that happens to somebody else. In a math class, one of the previous instructors had written all of their equations in red marker and his/her attempt to erase them after class just resulted in a red smear with the equations faintly, and barely visible.

When I came in for my class, I could only think, "It happens every time. Somebody goes on a math frenzy and you never get the blood out."

Yes, this is an issue in some of our classrooms too. But the custodian who redistributes my candy to random other offices also makes sure that I have plenty of board cleaner anytime I need it, so at least when it's exam day, I can be sure to get the writing off the boards.

The whiteboard in my office is a graffitti magnet!

This is how it looks this morning, after I cleaned it a bit last week...

The red, downward arrow is the stock market (in case that wasn't obvious).

I only have a black board in my office/lab and there's a shelf in front of it.

EDIT: I missed the stock market thing. Thats AWESOME!

That's hilarious! Though, someone in your office must have rather high expectations if they think they're going to bottom out with a double-wide trailer...fancy rich folk!
