Fluid Mechanics Texts
What would you recommend as good texts. Here's what I've found searching the site:
White Segel Tritton L&L Aris |
| PhysOrg.com |
science news on PhysOrg.com >> Hong Kong launches first electric taxis >> Morocco to harness the wind in energy hunt >> Galaxy's Ring of Fire |

I don't like White very much. I can't find Segel or Tritton anywhere. Any recommendations?

Segel is a Dover book and should be easy to find. Plus, it's very good.
Tritton, I did not like so much. Not exactly sure why... it seemed that results were just provided without any derivation, making it difficult to generalize results. Lamb is the encyclopedia. Very dense and difficult to parse. Landau and Lifshitz is fine, biu Segel is less expensive. |
