Yes. Sputnik 1 launched from there on this date (October 4 where I am) in 1957.

Bridge of the Gods just about 40 mi east of Portland Oregon.

Nashtifan, the ancient city of windmills

Incredible, most excellent landmark, Edward, really great.

Also most incredible that even when the concept is fully clear that it's still amazingly hard to find. Such an eminent archeologic heritage, so unknown.
