Forum Game - Where's That Landmark?

Quote by Andre View Post
Well done Om, the word 'cretto' - crack finds it abundantly. The third hit for me was my source.
Argh! Crack would have been the last word I'd have thought of. I just showed it to someone, and the first word out of their mouth was "cracked".

Anyways.... This little waterfall's sister dam thingy was supposedly built only 3 years after that last little waterfall dam thingy was photographed that I posted the other day.

Please take note of the change to the clue above.

Also, whoever named these dams must have been dyslexic, in a numerical and chronological manner.

Oddly enough, you have to google for both dams at once, and ignore the images when looking for dam #1, which is actually dam #2, which is not the dam we're looking for.

Dam!

And not everyone may be aware that to make up to Hypatia involved me buying a new truck from the only car company that didn't go bankrupt last year.

Lock and Dam No. 1 on the Mississippi River in Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota,
and googling: dam #1 and dam #2

yields:

Nice you just have to see the node. So the new landmark demonstrates what hints and leads may end you up with:

This is no hint for the new landmark, just a response

Unfortunately I'm looking at google.nl and there is no way to get that changed into google.com and this is what dam #1 and dam #2 yields for me:

Not that I thought of that obviously

Yes you are right, it looks like it. But it's not the landmark. But very good.

Actually, I found this landmark when I was looking for the previous one in the first phase, including the Hypatia area clue. It's indeed father away than 500 miles from her area but closer than 1000 miles

The Temple of Horus in Edfu, Egypt.

found on google.nl

Very odd that I can do that and you can't google.com

That kind of confounds the game almost as much as tinyeye.

The only way to make it simpler for someone here in the states to find the Ford dam would have been to give the coordinates.

I have not a clue what that means. And that is not a clue.

Seriously.

It's just a painted fence.
