This is going to be obvious to someone. But it is topical.

I can't really show the exact landmark, just pictures from the area.

There are hundreds of columns here. Some are round.

And other columns are square.

The columns are carved with images of warriors.

It appears that the area is the landmark. There are a number of structures all with the same common local name.

Ah we know that last one:

Ah, a lift then the hint was still valid, aircraft also fly thanks to lift.

Sorry for the delay, priorities, here is the next (no hints here)

El caracol in Chichen Itza, while the leaning god of the rain is known as Chac mool

Well, although there are more Chac mool's, but not of the the unique Mayan observatory, no doubt topical for the Mayan calendar.

So maybe we continue and a bit more simple maybe this time, surely all those hundreds of daily views of this thread, there must be somebody out there, who can solve this?

The first four pictures were of a landmark within the landmark of Chichen Itza. It was the Mayan Temple of the Warriors.

Yep.

I lost my job half a year earlier and I had troubles starting on my own, financially it was rather gloomy moment, but we had some money saved for a renovation of our kitchen (that was before we moved where we live now) - so we did the only illogical thing, we bought a trip to Paris and castles over Loire. I don't remember details now, but we have seen Chenonceaux, Chambord (it is Chambord, isn't it?), Anger, Blois and more. Unfortunately I had two rolls of film only, and when we get back to Warsaw we have learned our compact camera (Kodak KB or something close) died just before the trip - I guess it must have been hit or something, there was no a single sharp picture

Next year I bought EOS500N.
