Forum Game - Where's That Landmark?

Thanks Edward, and hi epenguin. The landmark was able to be found using an image finder, so you didn't have a real turn. Image finders were revealed earlier in the thread. This makes finding landmarks that are free of these more difficult. Do you want to? I don't lay any claims. If epenguin doesn't want to I'm happy for anyone to have a turn.

Go ahead. Sorry to hold you up.

I do have one more thing at the bottom of my barrel but it would require editing I don't have time for (i.e. to learn) now. Question: if there is a landmark and little choice of direction to photograph it from, would this tinyeye recognise it or does it have to be exactly something published?

Their FAQ's say they only search for published pictures. I just ran a picture of the old mission in Tucson that I had taken myself and tineye didn't find it.

Here is the picture that I shot myself That tineye did not find.

It does find a this nearly identical picture I saved from google images.

Been there, checked that. Sometimes it recognizes the picture, sometimes it doesn't.

Not a hint, just should mention the landmark isn't like this anymore.
(And hope going ahead was the best thing to do.)

Correct, the restaurant that became an art exhibit.
I'm left curious about epenguin's next landmark, however. :)

Maybe a barrel bottom with scraping marks? (no hint)

This landmark is of the kind that it's not what it looks like, in a place where you wouldn't expect it.

The landmark was both designed and build by Germans.

But it's not in Europe, albeit not that far away

Europe is actually at the other side of that water.

I was bouncing around all over the area until I remembered the fire.

Good job Edward.

Hints should be obvious. The source was private, not on the net.

That appears to be correct.... Unfortunately I don't have anything to post except a picture of a pile of rocks in my back yard.
