Solution by finite-difference method.

Can anyone show me how to use a finite-difference method to solve the equation.

[tex]\frac{dP}{dt} - a\frac{d^{2}P}{dx^{2}}-b\frac{d^{2}C}{dx^{2}} =0[/tex]

Or any good resource on the web with throughout examples of solving with finite-difference method would also be appreciated!
