Click For Summary

Discussion Overview

The discussion centers on the nature of string theory equations and their implications for understanding the universe. Participants explore various aspects of these equations, including their complexity and dimensionality, while seeking resources for further study.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Technical explanation

Main Points Raised

  • One participant expresses curiosity about the specific forms of string theory equations and notes a lack of previous responses to their inquiries.
  • Another participant mentions the complexity of higher quantum theories, indicating that there is no single set of equations that encompasses all aspects of string theory.
  • A participant inquires specifically about equations related to 11 dimensions, suggesting a focus on higher-dimensional aspects of string theory.
  • A later reply provides a resource link to a paper, directing attention to a specific equation within that document.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants do not appear to reach a consensus on the specifics of string theory equations, and multiple viewpoints regarding their complexity and dimensionality are present.

Contextual Notes

The discussion reflects varying levels of familiarity with string theory equations and does not resolve the complexities or specific interpretations of the equations mentioned.

Hello people, I've been wondering a lot what the string theory equations look like. I have asked this question a while ago and no one answered, so I am guessing its a hard question. But if anyone could answer I would be greatfull..thanks.

There are many equations and integrals to evaluate for different things in different contexts. None of the higher quantum theories are simple affairs with a single set of equations from which you derive everything.

What about the equation with the 11 demensions, do you know where I could take a look at that?

Well look at http://arxiv.org/PS_cache/hep-ex/pdf/0008/0008017.pdf , follow the discussion from equation (21) on.
