Research groups looking for electron EDM?

I'm interested in AMO physics. In my research of cold atom groups, I ran across this on the Cornell group's website.

What other research groups are trying to find an electron EDM? Would this be a Nobel Prize worthy discovery? It sounds interesting, but I don't know too much about the field. It also sounds like it is a one-shot experiment. If it is found, by your group or another, it is all over. It doesn't sound like a good idea for a PhD dissertation.
