I'm home!!!

And now I should probably sleep, because I'm working today.

I was wrapping some presents today, and naturally started thinking about manifolds. I remember doing the same thing last year. Is this at all typical?

[Edit: If you had a 4 dimensional present to wrap, what would the ~3 dimensional piece of wrapping "paper" look like?]
Yes. Yes it is typical.

I think it might be this reason that I personally associate H.P. Lovecraft with the holiday season. If you had to buy wrapping paper for use as a gift for one of these Lovecraftian extra-dimensional beings, would Hallmark sell the wrapping paper on a roll, or would it be some sort of strange block? Of course, either way, I'm sure they would charge by the volume rather than the area -- and I'm guessing that they might charge extra for extra "quality" volume that extends into the other dimension.

But would any of these Cthulhu minions really care one way or the the other how well you wrapped their weird, 4D present? Yes, I hypothesize that they would.

And perhaps it is this very reason why so many people around the world today hate the holidays.

[Edit: I don't hate the holidays myself. But I'm just sayin'...]

I stole this from one of DevilsAvocados post in the Action-at-a-distance in Sideways EPR-Bell?

I do whatever necessary to avoid it like saying no I am not sick. When being kid, I would cry out loud and look to her when in trouble. But now, if something concerning happens, I keep them to myself or try to under-rate the trouble. I am getting bit dishonest
Oh those problems... she just loves you soo much rootX, just like you love her so much to make her not worry. My mom actually came here because I messed up my wrist lol gotta love the woman :) so much drama tho...yesterday she told me that someone at my sister's work said my sister drives like an old lady. I agreed and my mom got SUPER angry with me. I don't understand why that's something to get upset about. I brought it to her attention that my sister took three minutes to reverse into a parking space and she kept reversing and going forward about five inches at a time, and my mom said, "That's because of the cell phone, but she does not drive like an old lady!" I tried to calm her down because I really could not see why it was so upsetting.

I've got three of these as models (version I II and III) on my shelf. None of them work satisfactorily. The lengths of all the sides must simultaneously change so much (300%) that the overall structure is too floppy to manipulate.

I'll get it one day though.

Freud would have a field day if he heard the kind of music that's popular today. It's just proof that he's right.

Now, I am wondering whether a human within the fourth dimension could be at two places at once, or change its body simultaneously?

As long as I draw breath, it will always be on the first page of GD. No question about it.

My understanding is that beings in a four dimensional universe would have to be inconceivably (to us) huge. They would be able to fit millions (or an infinite number perhaps) of our universes in theirs. I don't think we could inhabit this space as we are three dimensional.

Ever read "flatland?"

Gosh this sounds like physics or math or something. Uhh random thought random thought... I like pizza. (3 dimensional preferably.)

Four-dimensional pizza is delicious. Just when you think you've eaten all three dimensions, some pizza from the fourth dimension slips into view!
