Girls can be devious and resourceful. When I was the trainer/manager of our HS basketball team, a very pretty young lady from our opponents' town approached me on a break. I was flattered, and then she pointed toward an even prettier girl in the stands and said that her friend wanted to meet me. They'll find a way. Born networkers.
