Well, as long as it's true.
I once found this method in some code that I was working on.
private void printCrap(){
    System.out.println("Crap");
}

I've been teaching myself C++ for a couple of weeks now, and just picked up a book on it from the library.

Could I become somewhat proficient at programming by the end of the summer?

By the way, Borg, I just clicked on your link about writing unmaintainable code. What's the purpose of really only allowing yourself to understand your own code?

The site is a series of sarcastic descriptions of coding styles designed to frustrate those who have to work on your code after you leave a project. It's definitely relevant to my work since I am often trying to (as Ivan would put it) unfuster cluck the work of previous developers who must have used that site as a coding bible.

On Saturday, West Liberty-Salem (Ohio) High junior Meghan Vogel won a state title. Incredibly, that might not even be what she or anyone else remembers most about her day at the Ohio Division III track and field state meet, because she later committed one of the most selfless acts of the year on the track: She stopped running the 3,200-meter final to help along a foe who had collapsed just 20 feet from the finish line.

Selfless acts of kindness and compassion.

I once found this method in some code that I was working on.
I was once testing a new release of a compiler written by a major computer company (a three letter name beginnig with I...)

Everything was going fine till one day it stopped dead in the middle of a simple 10-line function with the message

THE [SEVERAL EXPLETIVES DELETED] IN THE NEXT CUBICLE STILL HASN'T GOT THIS BIT WORKING RIGHT.

So we filed a bug report saying there was a problem with the documentation - we didn't understand the meaning of some of the technical terms in the error message, and they weren't in the glossary

BTW, that reminds me of a bug that we had on one project. One of the developers had created a variable that was later used to create dynamic links to Google. Our boss demonstrated that web page to the customer for months and clicked on every link except for one. Good thing too because, through a series of modifications to the variable, that one link was passing XXX to Google.
