My dog was "lying to me" by lying next to the front door (I thought) hoping to get an extra trip outdoors. He wasn't lying. He had to poop twice (runny stuff) and then puke twice. Poor boy... I have been feeding him pure pumpkin puree and a little Immodiom AD to try to settle down the poops, but I've got to schedule a trip to the vet if things don't resolve quickly.

Me too. My wife and I have been making him basmati rice and boiled chicken to settle his belly down. He seems alert and energetic and hops all around when he gets excited, as usual. Still I have to keep an eye on him. I don't want him to get dehydrated or low on nutrients. Gotta love that boy!

someone told me today that they saw an old girlfriend, from 25 years ago, and that she'd put on at least 200 lbs.

all I could think was... "That girl's at least 3 times the man I am......"

that someone, apparently read my mind, and said; "It's a good thing she's tall."

I like to stay in shape and take care of myself because it must be a horrible feeling to see someone you haven't seen in a while and know that you look a lot worse than when you last saw that person.
I want to see someone I haven't seen in a few years and have them say "wow, you look amazing", just so I can say in response "Thanks, I wish I could say the same about you".

I'd never say that, unless they looked good and I didn't really mean it, in which case I would immediately say I was kidding.

Last night was funeral-home visitation for my wife's favorite aunt. Today is interment with a grave-side service and a wake afterward with refreshments.

I have to find out which hospice organizations around here are most efficient and most well-respected, so we can give a generous donation to one of them. We pooled with my wife's family and sent flowers to the funeral home, but plan to make that "in lieu of" donation that was Helen's wish. Hospice care can be very important to people in the last stages of their life.

I recently realized that this hole in my eardrum makes it possible for me to blow air out of my ear. I've never smoked a cigarette in my life, but now I'm sort of wondering whether it would be possible to blow the smoke out of my ear. That would be cool (and probably make my doctor mad).
