Randomly wondering what would happen if a single drop of detergent got into our bloodstream. How about a few more drops? A whole bottle?

I haven't done any experimenting, so I can't really say. But my intuition tells me that the bottle would block things up.

On Friday I was startled to see what looked like an authentic Karsh print of a portrait of Helen Keller at the swap meet. It was very large, 16 x20 and there was a scratch on it which demonstrated it was photographic emulsion on paper, not some kind of other printing process.
The guy said he bought it at a estate sale some years back. He, or someone else, had opened the frame at some point. The paper seal was gone from the back. "Karsh Ottawa" was scrawled in white ink on the lower right corner of the photo. I googled when I got home and the signature was wrong. Karsh apparently only signed the mounts, not the prints, and the handwriting was distinctly not his. It's hard to account for that because a forger would know better. It struck me as conceivable that someone who didn't know better was trying to emphasize that it was a real Karsh, someone both dumb enough to open the frame of a real Karsh and scratch the print in the process. I googled and couldn't find this pose of Helen Keller online, though it was clearly taken at the same sitting as this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/shelchen9210/2896027047/ It is a wider shot and she is reading a braille book. The guy wanted $200.00 for it. He said he'd be back with it today, Sunday. I went to have another look and was going to ask him if I could open the back to see the backside of the mount where Karsh used to put his "official" stamp. It was gone! He'd sold it early in the morning right after the swap meet opened. |

I have been holding this thought to myself for a while and it needs to get out!
Why would they put a female picture in the ad right next to few urinals. It's kind of weird being watched by the picture.. |

The other thing is that the prices of his stuff are all over the place. At auction some authentic Karsh prints only go for a little over a hundred dollars. On the complete other end of the scale, highly desirable ones can go for $20,000. It could be it's authentic, but only worth $200.00. |
