cross-threaded" with two subforums

(this is a suggestion, not a request... please don't take it that way. Don't bother wasting your time on replying with a no and a justification on my behalf.)

I don't know if this really exists, but the idea is that you post a thread that is "cross-threaded" with two subforums so that it shows up and updates in both forums.

Of course, I realize this could produce more nasty work than it is worth, but logistics is not my department. One way to restrict over-usage (and focus the idea) would be to have a list of preset cross-threads, each with a name that would represent a subject field that has no forum of it's own.

So for instance, I would click on the combo box (drop down list) and select the preset "neuroscience" and it would "cross-thread" both medical sciences (for psychology) and biology.

this could be used sparingly to stimulate slower forums, I guess, but I can see how cross-threading quantum mechanics with philosophy would be annoying since everybody thinks they're an expert on philosophy....
