integral operator

How does one go about computing the matrix of the kernel of a convolution operator. the kernel is 2PI periodic and one wants to find the matrix with respect to the orthonormal basis e^(inx). I have to understand it well for I am to write a program to calculate it. Any help is appreciated. Thank you
