Questions about atmosphere

Good day!
For some certain reason I would like to know:
1. The correlation between altitudes in Earth’s atmosphere and the temperatures there. For example, what is temperature equal to in Kelvin scale (at daytime, not at night) at the altitude of let’s say 40 km above the sea level, at the altitude of 100 km , 150 and etc. Are there any ready-made charts for this purpose?
2. Are there any ready-made charts for the Mach number for various altitudes above the sea level? I would like to know the value of Mach number for let’s say 50 km altitude above the seal level, for 80 km, or 160 km altitude.

Re: Questions about atmosphere

Google USA 1976 standard atmosphere..

The orginal paper is here

Here some rules of thumb also for mach #

Unfortunately there are unclear answers......
More precisely: here http://mclean.ch/climate/IPCC.htm I could not find any desired information. As for teh second one: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_does_m...e_and_altitude I actually wanted the ready-made chart......

There are ready made tables at Mach vs. Altitude Tables (at aerospaceweb.org)

You could make a chart with Excel, using the formulae, but I couldn't find one on the web with a quick look. NASA provides a neat little Java program to calculate speed of sound and Mach number for different planets, altitudes, and speed

However, note that "mach number" is a measure of velocity in relation to the speed of sound, so you can't really get "value of Mach number for let’s say 50 km altitude above the seal level", as you ask in the OP. Is what you are asking for "the speed of sound for 50km altitude" and so on?

This page at NASA has some charts for temperature, pressure and speed of source plotted against altitude; but only up to 30 thousand feet. Propulsion System Analysis, the answers page for an education activity. Here's the speed of sound chart, linked from that page:
