Calculating the potential energy curves for ground/excited states of molecular Iodine
I ploted the all the energy curves on a single graph (see attachment). I need to know how to figure out which states are purely dissociative and which states are bound.
I also need to know why a electronic transition from the singlet ground electronic state to the triplet excited state is called spin forbidden. |
