A reference and textbook like book aimed towards new to serious amateur Astronomers, The Idiots Guide to Astronomy is fun, and interesting at the same time.

The book begins with history about the scientists of Astronomy and ends with more in depth stuff.

It includes things from a pull-out Star chart to a guide on what Telescopes to buy.
