independence of generalized coordinates in Lagrangian
Hi
Does anyone know how one would prove that a generalized coordinate and its respective generalized velocity are independent? We've been deriving Lagranges equations, and its only ever said that its a necessity which is assumed to obtain the Newtonian results. Thanks |
