The Titanic and the Titan

One of the most famous celebrated fictional cases thought by parapsychologists to demonstrate unconscious forknowledge is the 1898 novel by Morgan Robertson, _The Wreck Of The Titan_; or, _Futility_. It has recently been reissued, together with Ian Stevenson's investigation, _Paranormal Experiences Connected With The Sinking Of The Titanic_, with a forward by William H. Tantum IV, Vice-President of The Titanic Historical Society. The wreck of the Titanic in April 1912 corresponded with striking detail to Robertson's fictional _Wreck Of The Titan_. As Tantum notes on the book jacket:[continued]

...Robertson later wrote a book, Beyond the Spectrum, that described a future war fought with aircraft that carried "sun bombs". Incredibly powerful, one bomb could destroy a city, erupting in a flash of light that blinds all who look at it. The war begins in December, started by the Japanese with a sneak attack on Hawaii. . . .

(Note: The name Titan is a derivitive of the Chaldean word ****an, which comes from the Hebrew word Satan. It was said that not even God could sink the Titanic. It seems he couldn't pass up this challenge!)
