Homework Help Overview

The discussion revolves around a circuit analysis problem involving mesh analysis. The original poster is attempting to solve for currents in a circuit with given resistances and current sources but is struggling with one of the meshes.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Problem interpretation, Assumption checking

Approaches and Questions Raised

  • The original poster describes their attempts to formulate equations for mesh analysis but expresses difficulty with one mesh. Other participants inquire about the circuit diagram and suggest sharing it for better clarity. One participant provides a formulation for mesh equations based on the original poster's variables.

Discussion Status

Participants are actively engaging with the problem, with some offering specific equations for the meshes. There is an ongoing exploration of the circuit's behavior, and while some guidance has been provided, no consensus or resolution has been reached yet.

Contextual Notes

The original poster mentions constraints related to the circuit diagram's size, which affects their ability to share it. The discussion also highlights the need for clarity on the circuit setup and the relationships between the variables involved.

hi everyone

i try to solve this proplem but only have mesh 2 and 3, i stuck at mesh 1,please anyone give me some advise ? or ways to solve this proplem, thanks first.

Given :
Is1= .75A, Beta =1 A/A , rho = 3ohm
R1= 2 , R2 =2 , R3= 2, R4 =2, R5 =1, R6 =3

For mesh1, you have

i1=is2=beta*iy, and iy=i2-i3 (at R5). So the equation for mesh1 is:

i1-beta*i2+beta*i3=0.

Show me please what you got for mesh 2 and 3.

Here what i did:
For mesh 2:
(i2-i1)*R4 + (i2-is1)*R2 + (i2-i3)*R5 =0
which i1,i2,is1,R2,R4,R5 are given

For mesh 3:
R6*i3 +(i3-i2)*R5 + vs3 = 0
we have vs3 = 3ix
but ix =-is1 -i2 ( KCL)

Put them together and solve ==> i1,i2,i3

thanks for repond
