what's the best way to extract video from damaged VCDs?
the final video needs to be in mov, mpg, mp4, wmv or similar format... |

Extracting video from damaged VCDs
VLC is pretty reliable, even for damaged files. Typically, if it won't play in VLC it isn't salvageable.
