## Blood pressure to make Blood Flow Thru Artery

1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
What is the blook pressure difference required to make blood flow thru a capillary of radius 3.0 um and length 1.1 mm at a rate of 0.56 mm/s?

2. Relevant equations
P1 - P2 = ave speed (8nL) /r squared

3. The attempt at a solution
n of blood = 4 x 10 e-3 m/s
ave speed = 5.6 x 10e-4 m/s
r = 3.0 um = 3 x 10e-6 m
l = 1.1 mm = 1.1 x 10e-3 m

P1-P2 = 5.6 x 10e-4 * 8 * 4 x 10e-3 * 1.1 x 10e-3/(3 x 10e-6)squared
P1-P2 = 21.90 x 10e2 or 2190 Pa

This seems high? Are my logic and math correct?
