Is it possible to measure the voltage, current, frequency of the electrical signals generated by human ‘Brain’?
Measuring the electrical signals in the human brain is feasible using EEG (electroencephalogram) technology, which captures the amplitude and frequency of brain activity. EEG devices can connect to computers to visualize brain activity in 3D graphs over time. The resting voltage of neurons is approximately 70mV, influenced by potassium and sodium ionic concentrations. Current flow in the brain is ionic rather than electronic, complicating direct measurement methods.
PREREQUISITESNeuroscientists, biomedical engineers, and anyone interested in brain activity measurement and analysis.
