Hm, very interesting.
But do professors have a tendency to sign their emails with less effort if you frequently email them with short questions (even if they're on good terms with you?) Hmm, most of my professors sign their emails with their first names when I initially interact with them. And then they become shorter if I interact with them more. Hmm. |

I always thought it was odd when your professor started addressing you with the nickname that only your friends use.
