It sounds like a case will need to be made as to what is "reasonable" - given existing technology. As for not barring someone who breaks the rules in a chat room (or on a forum) because they can prove mental defect - is unreasonable (IMO).

Psychological disorders that impede one's control of treating others with respect. Am I reading that right?
If that's the only disability at issue here, then I have to dismiss any call to accommodate it. Because that --is-- the burden of their disorder and the burden is theirs, not others. If accommodation has to be made to tolerate that behavior, then it can step on the rights of people to safe, meaningful, and comfortable environments. |
