Plotting Points and Adding Best Fit Curve in Maple

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion focuses on using Maple to create scatterplots and add best fit curves. The user expresses difficulty in combining both elements in a single plot and seeks clarification on how to include maximum and minimum extensions for each point, referred to as "error bars." The user successfully displayed the scatterplot and fit curve but struggled with terminology for the extensions. Maple's documentation is available for further assistance.

PREREQUISITES
  • Familiarity with Maple software, specifically version 2023.
  • Understanding of scatterplot creation and data visualization concepts.
  • Knowledge of statistical terms such as "best fit curve" and "error bars."
  • Basic skills in interpreting graphical data representations.
NEXT STEPS
  • Research how to create scatterplots in Maple 2023.
  • Learn about adding best fit curves in Maple using the CurveFitting package.
  • Explore the concept of error bars and how to implement them in scatterplots.
  • Review Maple's official documentation for advanced plotting techniques.
USEFUL FOR

Beginner users of Maple, data analysts, and anyone interested in data visualization techniques using statistical software.

I'm quite a beginner in maple and I want to plots some points with a Scatterplot and add the bestfit curve but I can't get maple to put both in the same plot... I'd also liek to know how to make a scatterplot with max/min extensions of evry points (I have no idea how you call these). Anybody can help me?

Just curious - doesn't Maple come with documentation?

It does and I did manage to Display the scatterplot and fit curve but since I don't know how you call those Max-Min dots it's kinda hard to search for it...
