Ok a word bed is a graphical pattern of letters - each horizontal line makes up a word.

To solve the word bed you must take the letters in the columns they appear in.

The hidden word has it's first letter in the first column (one of the 3 letters) its second letter in the second column and so on until the end.

See how HEADLAND fits going horizontally and choosing a letter from each vertical column?
