For all Aussies, on SBS1 tonight at 8.30 there's the first of a 4 part series, hosted by Stephen Hawking, called "Into the Universe". Here's the description:

Stephen Hawking, the world's most famous scientific mind, hosts a four-part ultimate guide to the universe. In the first episode, Hawking uses science along with his brilliant imagination to explore the possibilities of intelligent alien life existing beyond Earth and the likelihood of future contact. With the aid of stunning CGI, he takes us on a journey from Mars and the moons of Jupiter to other galaxies and theorises about what alien life forms might look like.
