Chem/chem-bio engineering careers

Hi!

I'm a university student who recently completed first year and will most likely be majoring in either chemical engineering or chemical and bioengineering. I'm really interested in having a career that involves helping third world countries and I am just looking for another perspective on what kind of things I can do with a chemical engineering degree that would relate. Feel free to share any advice or knowledge you may have. Thanks!
