Recommend a good book on cryptography/steganography

I got an interest in steganography so was thinking if there is a simple book out there that would make me "get it"? I would prefer a book with illustrations and probably pseudocode. Math is not my strongest point and my main concern is to understand how things work and not just be able to use formal math. I have taken Number Theory which I didn't pass. My strongest point I would say is programming(C).
