computer jokes (can be hermetic)

I am using cookies to find out how the people that bought my programs located my site. This is what I found in my log today:

Funny thing is, they BOUGHT the calculator.

What you're showing us is that someone (in Russia) who ultimately bought a calculator from you - got to your site by Googling "bate ph calculator crack".

That person already knew about Borek's calculator: He was trying to steal it. He was searching for someone who had published a way to crack into the calculator.

Oh. When I saw the word "crack" I thought of the drug. Like they were surfing the internet for a calculator that would help them calculate weights and concentrations or something.

What is he significance of "bate"?
