How did the Bohr Model improve the Quantum Mechanical Model?
1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
How did the Bohr Model improve the Quantum Mechanical Model on our knowledge of electrons? 2. Relevant equations 3. The attempt at a solution So far I have that the quantum mechanical model of the atom restricts the energy of the electrons to certain values called energy levels and that Bohr’s model proposed that an electron is found only in specific circular paths, or orbits, around the nucleus. Not sure what else to put. Thanks in advance. |
