Ok, so I've synthesised bis(pentane-2,4-dionato)oxovanadium(IV) and reacted it with n-propylamine to get the adduct. I'm trying to find the magnetic moment of this, but CFT and all that isn't really my forte. In the basic VO(acac)2 the V is +4 oxidation state, in the adduct is it +5? Or does it remain at +4?
