Ok, so I've synthesised bis(pentane2,4dionato)oxovanadium(IV) and reacted it with npropylamine to get the adduct. I'm trying to find the magnetic moment of this, but CFT and all that isn't really my forte. In the basic VO(acac)2 the V is +4 oxidation state, in the adduct is it +5? Or does it remain at +4?
