Any similarities between 1/r and exp(i/r), r=(x^2+y^2+z^2)^.5

Are there any similarities between 1/r and exp(i/r) where

r = (x^2 + y^2 + z^2)^.5? They both kind of go crazy as r --> 0.

Thanks for any help!
