Dual numbers

I just read about dual numbers - they are like complex numbers but instead of i ( √-1) you have ε where ε^2 = 0 but ε is not zero

So (1 + 2ε)(2 + 4ε) = 2 + 8ε

So do these numbers have some strange properties like "i" has ( like e^(iπ) + 1 = 0) ?
