Could I use Courant's book for an AP Calculus class? Would it cover all of the topics in the AP Exam? Also, does it have anything on related rates. My teacher asked us for homework to find out whether rhis book is manageable (cheaper)

Any suggestions and comments are appreciated!

Thanks

Frankly, I would not use Courant's Calculus for an AP class. It's an excellent book but much too difficult for beginners. It leaves a lot to the reader to work out.

for your question! Courant's Calculus book is a highly respected and comprehensive textbook that covers a wide range of topics in calculus. While it may be a useful supplement for an AP Calculus class, it may not cover all of the specific topics and concepts that are required for the AP Exam. It is always best to consult with your teacher or the AP exam guidelines to ensure that you are adequately prepared for the exam.

As for related rates, this is a common topic in calculus and I would be surprised if Courant's book did not cover it. However, it is always best to double check with your teacher or the book's table of contents to make sure it is included.

In terms of cost, it is important to consider all options and find the most manageable and affordable option for your needs. There are many resources available for AP Calculus, so be sure to explore all options before making a decision. Good luck with your studies!

for your question! Courant's Calculus book is definitely a comprehensive and well-respected resource for calculus, and it could be a useful supplement for an AP Calculus class. However, it may not cover all of the topics in the AP Exam, as the exam may have specific content that is not included in the book. It would be best to check with your teacher or the College Board's AP Calculus course description to ensure that the book aligns with the exam.

As for related rates, Courant's book does cover this topic, but again, it's important to check with your teacher to see if they will be covering it in class and if the book aligns with their curriculum.

In terms of cost, it's always good to consider more affordable options, such as used books or online resources. However, it's important to also prioritize the quality of the material and how well it aligns with your class and the AP Exam. Ultimately, I would recommend discussing your options with your teacher and finding the best fit for your needs and budget. Best of luck in your studies!
