1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
A 5.00 x10^2-kg satellite is in circular orbit 2.00 x 10^2 km above Earth’s surface.
Determine the gravitational potential energy of the satellite
Determine kinetic energy
Determine The Binding Energy



3. The attempt at a solution
I solved for gravitational potential and kinetic energy but for the binding energy i get a positive number when the answer is negative. Doesnt Binding energy = -Total energy and because the total energy will be negative, the negative times a negative will make it positive Please give me some insight
