Z', broken U(1)

I'm looking for a good review article on models with a new broken U(1) symmetry (the massive gauge boson of which is typically denoted Z'). Apparently Z' can be made to couple with WIMPs as a portal between the Standard Model and dark sector. Any recommendations?
