Discussion Overview

The discussion centers around the concept of Earth's expansion and its potential implications for cosmology. Participants explore whether this idea could signify a new cosmological framework, touching on geological credibility and previous discussions on the topic.

Discussion Character

  • Debate/contested
  • Meta-discussion

Main Points Raised

  • One participant suggests that the Earth is expanding and questions if this could indicate a new cosmology.
  • Another participant advises caution, suggesting that the idea should be credible within geology before considering its cosmological implications.
  • A third participant references a prior discussion on the topic, indicating that it has been debated before and may not be settled.
  • Further, a participant expresses intent to revisit and possibly debunk earlier claims related to Earth's expansion.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants do not reach a consensus; there are competing views regarding the credibility of Earth's expansion and its implications for cosmology. The discussion remains unresolved.

Contextual Notes

There are references to previous discussions and the need for geological credibility, which may indicate limitations in the current understanding of the topic.

Hi guys,

It looks that the Earth expands.

Can the expansion of the Earth be a case for new cosmology?

You might wait for it to become credible geology before you start looking for its implications on cosmology.

Hi Clicky,

We've actually had a discussion about this before, here in the Forums. Take a look at this Topic and see if it answers any of your questions. Or maybe you could have one of the Ubermentors bring it back to an active status. Although I'm not sure if it would be placed here or if they'll put it to bed (in "Debunk").

you da' man, Lurch.

of course, this reminds me that I owe some more debunking to that topic.

clicky - please see the link Lurch provided. thanks
