Electromagnetism in Materials

Hey! I'm taking a course in solid state physics now where we are using Kittel's book

I'm really taking the course just to learn more about electromagnetism in materials and Kittel does not cover any derivation and does not explain much, so I wondered if anyone could recommend any good books on electromagnetism in matter?
