Can someone verify the following about how cells die (ageing)

Hey, can someone verify, or provide some additional information you think would be helpful in understand the process in which our cells naturally die in relation to ageing.

When our cells burn oxygen, toxic by-products are generated called reactive oxygen species. These molecules carry dangerous free electrons on their surface which damage cell structures, protein and DNA as the collide into them.

Would anyone like to add to this, or correct me?

Thanks everyone!
