Simulation model for propagation of electromagnetic waves in nanotubes

Hi guys, my current research is about TiO2 nanotubes, and looking for a good simulation model that will fit in my data. I tried to used effective medium approximation (EMA) to confirm that the electromagnetic waves propagate faster in well oriented nanotubes. but since i have limited data, EMA would not work, because the void fraction of tio2 is unknown. I only have the the thickness of nanotubes, inner diameter, reflectance intensity, and the refractive index. so guys i need your help. thanks
